A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has surpassed more than one million informational booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their short- and long-term effects.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in public spaces, shops and community areas. The campaign focuses on raising awareness before drug use begins, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a clear way.
